Youth Programs

Q: Does my registration fee cover food and accommodations?

A: Yes, all meals during the program are included, and you will be provided space to sleep at the host church.

Q: Do I need to bring a sleeping bag, mattress and pillow?

A: Yes! You will be sleeping in a space somewhere in the host church – most likely on the floor, so will need to be comfy!

Q: I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, will The GO Project be accepting and welcoming of me?

A: Yes, absolutely. And please, let us know beforehand if there are any specific ways in which we can make you feel more comfortable.

Q: How will I get to and from the church on the first and last day of programming?

A: If you are flying into the city, let us know when you’re arriving and we will arrange your pick up from the airport. Similarly, if you are taking a bus or train. If you are driving arrive any time before 7pm on the first day, and can be picked up after 12pm on the last day.

Q: I have serious allergies; will my needs be accommodated?

A: Yes! Please let us know beforehand and tell us ways in which we can make the experience the best for you.

Q: I’m coming alone, will I still make friends and be welcomed into the community?

A: YES!! Please feel free to come alone, with one friend, or with a whole group! However you come, you are an integral, welcomed part of the community.

Q: I don’t believe in God; can I still participate?

A: Yes, of course. You do not need to believe in God to participate. You do however, need to be comfortable with the group speaking about their experiences of faith and respecting everyone’s unique, individual journey.

Q: I’m not a part of the United Church of Canada, can I still participate?

A: Yes, of course! People of all faiths are welcome to participate in our programs. Keep in mind, the program is based on a United Church belief of theology and action within the world. Let us know if there are any accommodations we can make for your faith practices (ie: prayer space) while with us. Children’s Adventure Camp

Q: How does registration work?

A: Visit out registration page, choose the program you’re interested in, and fill out the information. You will then be sent a confirmation email. Follow up will come from a staff member of the host church, and payment can be made to that church.

Q: Do I need to bring a lunch to Adventure Camp?

A: Unless stated on the children’s camp page in your specific conference, no you do not! The camp will provide snacks and lunch for you!

Q: What do I need to send with my child each day?

A: Every day needs are; water bottle, closed-toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, and any medical supplies your child needs (epi-pen, medication, etc).
